As much as we wanted to keep our visit a secret, the Universe had other plans. Cecelia and I ended up riding our bikes past Ashley and her mom in one of the most beautiful friendship reveals that’s ever happened. I couldn’t have produced it better myself. It began earlier that morning when Ashley noticed someone looking through Cecelia’s bedroom window when Ashley came to pick up their daughter. If Ashley hadn’t seen Michelle trying to sneak a peak, she wouldn’t have known Cecelia was about to go on a bike ride with a “friend.” Furious, Ashley and her mom must have wanted to catch Cecelia in the act of dating someone new, so they ventured into their least favorite place: the great outdoors.

Cecelia led me down a path she rarely took, but as we rounded the corner, Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Dummer pushed a stroller in our direction.

I slowed down my bike as I passed them so they could get a nice long look at my smile. It would’ve made an incredible Crest commercial, and I’m pretty sure my canine tooth had a little sparkle.

They stopped dead in their tracks, shocked that I was in Minnesota and even more shocked I was friends with Cecelia. I had no doubt they wanted to punch my face off.

Biking around, seeing the sights.

I was so high from the encounter that I started to hallucinate. My bike turned into a great white stallion…
